Coaches vs. Cancer Night

On February 16th 2008, when the Nittany Lions played the Fighting Illini we hosted our Coaches vs. Cancer Night and Sponsor Recognition.  This event featured a silent auction including commemorative autographed warm-up shirts from the team, recognition of our sponsors at halftime, and video presentations on the video scoreboard.

Coaches vs. Cancer Brats Challenge

During the Nittany Lion Hoops Club Wisconsin Tailgate, we held a "Battle of the Brats" outside Beaver Stadium in an effort to raise $10,000 to fight cancer and also determine the best brat eating fans between the two schools. Fans lined up at a blue tent for Penn State fans and a red tent for Wisconsin. Johnsonville Brats donated 2,000 brats Pacifico donated the buns and Sheetz, Inc. donated 2,000 drinks for the contest in which fans were asked to make a $5 donation to fight cancer and received a brat and drink to down for their favorite team.
